Hello from the bottom of the world - livestream on February 10th!
Standing on an ice floe with Otto, Jan 17th
Look, I can explain.
I very much intended to write weekly updates in this blog of everything that’s happened so far, with cute pictures, funny anecdotes, etc. But listen. Too much has happened! Every time I thought I’d be sitting down for a quiet afternoon of writing and clearing out the memory on my phone, someone would walk into the room and say something like, “Hey, we’re gonna go visit a 120-year old hut on an island five miles away in like twenty minutes, want to join?” Every day either something amazing is happening or I am recovering physically from the adventures.
But! I’ve written down nearly every story in my trusty leatherbound journal, so I’m certain some of those stories will be translated into blog form in the coming months. I’ve also posted some updates over on The Global Hornist Instagram Page.
In the meantime, please join me for a livestream this Tuesday, February 10th at 1pm EST, where I’ll be interviewed by reps from Polar STEAM alongside scientist Dr. Tricia Thibodeau, whom I’ve been assisting on her zooplankton research. I’ll also be sharing some field recordings and music I’ve composed while on this journey!
